WHAT to DO

There is so much to do it's difficult to capture everything in one place, but some ideas below to get you started ...............

Watersports

Direct access to Beadnell Bay from rear of Marram Cottage provides endless possibilities to enjoy a wide variety of water sports - swim, paddleboard, body board, surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing.

Bring your own equipment (plenty of space in the garage) or hire from KA Watersports located at Beadnell Beach car park.

Walking & Wildlife

Enjoy beautiful walks and wildlife straight from Marram Cottage. National Trust Newton Links and Newton Pool a short walk away Walk From Beadnell Bay To Low Newton - Fabulous North or longer walks to Low Newton, Dunstanburgh and Craster to the south and Seahouses and Bamburgh to the north. Both directions allow you to enjoy beautiful coastline and wide golden beaches while getting some fresh sea air and building up your thirst and appetite.

Beach Days

Beadnell Bay, directly accessible over the dunes to the rear of Marram cottage is a wide sandy beach voted No. 1 in the North East. Relax, enjoy the fresh sea air, spend quality time with your loved ones. Or for those feeling more active .... build sand castles, play in the dunes, do some crabbing off the harbour wall or enjoy the space to play many different sports - frisbie, football, cricket, rounders or even build your own bike jump - my son loved do this (that's him in the picture!).

Rainy Days

Sometimes the weather lets you down, so light the log burner, select your favourite board game(s) and enjoy time indoors. Barter Books in Alnwick is great to visit on wets days and so is visiting and enjoying one of the many amazing pubs & restaurants nearby.

Castles and Coast

So many amazing castles, all within easy reach from Marram Cottage - Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle, Lindisfarne and Holy Island. All have their own story for you to discover and enjoy.

Something a bit different

Try Scuba Diving with Scuba Steve   Beach Safari with Ranger Janes beach School ............ https://www.facebook.com/rangerjane.co.uk/                                                                     For the very brave you could try Fire Walking (Firewalking | Logi Firewalking | Firewalking UK | Team building)
